Dr. Jim Cartner
Veterinarian
Dr. Jim Cartner earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University and has spent his career caring for small animals in the Statesville, North Carolina community. With decades of experience in veterinary medicine, he has built strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Dr. Cartner enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in orthopedics and surgery. He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Cartner enjoys spending time with his wife, Jane, and their family, including their children and grandchild. Their home includes two dogs—Fraser Fir, a chocolate lab, and Albert (Bertie), an Australian labradoodle. He is also an active member of First Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Andrea Randazzo
Veterinarian
Dr. Andrea Randazzo is a U.S. Army veteran with over two decades of experience caring for animals. After her military service, she earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology and natural resources from Cornell University, then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University. She also spent a decade as a hospital owner, bringing valuable leadership and clinical experience to her role.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Randazzo enjoys spending time outdoors with her dogs, listening to music, watching movies, and gardening. Her daughter, Sasha, also works in the animal care field.
